Tottenham Cemetery, North London Circa 1999

I always loved the grain, in film. sometimes worked towards getting more of it sometimes worked on degrading the image to be completed grain.
sometimes choices were made for me by cameras having "issues" sometimes you look back and think wow, I love that vision, it isn't me now necessarily but I appreciate the person who saw things and retired them visually this way.
thats nice.
I visited this cemetery often when I lived in Tottenham ( nearly three years I was there)
it was next to an old castle, Bruce Castle to be precise.

Graves for sale, greenwood Cemetery, Spokane

i have not seen this sort of grave sale occurring in cemeteries before.
but why not-
a little odd but odd is just what we arent used to.
like me, i am odd till you know me and then completely benign.
graves for sale!!!
Unfortunatly no bargain corner like at the local ikea (not that anything in there is anything but an over priced piece of rubbish... or i am just never lucky.)

Linton , Cambridgeshire

whilst trolling through digital files as one might a box of loose photos i began flipping through them in a non tactile manner (keyboard touching doesn't really count.) we used to walk through this cemetery quite often, once we chased a white rabbit round the place, very curious indeed. although since other white rabbits have confronted us in strange places and we have again been forced to chase them around.
no rabbit holes fallen in yet...
we'd sometimes go through this one in the blackest of night, not the creepiest of places visited by us at night.

wild turkeys , greenwood cemetery, spokane, wa

well this was a pleasure to see these fellows meandering through Greeenwood Cemetery, Spokane, Wa
wild turkeys in spokane- they reminded me a bit of the guys from the Dark Crystal-
although I havent watched that in 20 some years so maybe - or maybe not.
we worried about whether or not the cemetery was closing or closed- til seeing several other car travelers moving through the place and knew that we were safe.
looking for the 1,000 steps as it seems to be main spot you find when searching for haunted Spokane. did not find it this evening instead did a fast ish tour of all the cemetery space there and then headed to pick up fruit at Huckleberries- we're we got some organic grapes that were yum and some what more affordable then usual. and then went for a swim.

tottenham, north london cemetery

north london, tottenham to be precise. arrive by train to bruce grove , from liverpool st station. walk towards the castle (bruce.) behind the castle grounds lies this cemetery. when i moved here my slr which was a hand me down from my great grandfather (used since the tender age of 15) and had started to allow light to escape inwards towards my films. so for these images it worked! the swirls of light leaks and ghostly exposures offers the perfect texture and sensation to the images. however it wasn't so great for trying to get work done for any publications or profit and the effects were uncontrollable and hit or miss. sometimes it added to the visual and others it took away. it can be seen increasing throughout prolonged use until eventually the camera hit the deck in Amsterdam and the light leak was no longer an added effect but more the ever present state of any photo i took.
