Acacia Memorial Park , lost shot

 oh dear, folders of non processed shots and some good ones too.
I particularly liked this one from Accacia.

its been awhile-
i have been away from cemeteries but  am trying to get back on it there is a pioneer cemetery i have been meaning to hit in bothell near woodenville.
but i didnt go there today- just a quick stop at acacia.
and here is the fountain.
no more energy today for piccies but i love the blue.

some more acacia - with people this time

taking peeps to one of my favorite local (presently) cemeteries- acacia memorial park -
this time with people my daughter, my mum and our long time family friend Mary who was visiting from back east (bflo.) this is the first cemetery where we encountered a curious cabinet of varied storage facility for ashes.
People have their ashes behind glass bookshelves- in urns, metal books, ceramic kitchen jars, a wide array of vessels.

so when one spreads one's obsessions to a wide expanse (say where once was limited to a handful has now spread to a multitude and
counting) are they still obsessions or is it an over excitement for life? and at last a more easier ability to find some niche wherever you might be to apply that days obsession.
this weekend it was cemeteries mostly (of course melded with love of exploration and photographic meanderings.)
so we went back to this cemetery the next day , as well as two others.
needed to see the lakeview mausoleum, which we did.
there were weird sounds, like chattering voices- tim and i went in separately but both heard the talking. there was so much sound from the japense garden and the acoustics were weird and well, who knows.

a rainy day visit to the acacia cemetery. 

i wasn't expecting much but wow. what great design and well i guess it should be built by the masons in 1927. the font used throughout was beautiful art deco inspired. the flower preparation rooms were amazing perfectly spotless and prepared for applying the vases to the stones. i have never really seen such a place and we missed the lakeview mausoleum complete with Japanese garden! what?!

was a good place to do some HDR- it's illuminated almost entirely by natural light- 

would love to shoot more things here....
